HPS - North Texas Represented at Conference

Leaders from Harmony Public Schools - North Texas Elementary District attended the Texas Public Charter School Conference from September 25th to 27th in Austin, Texas.

Not only did they spend time networking and learning with other leaders, our very own District Educational Diagnostician, Christen LaChance, had the wonderful opportunity to lead her own session!

LaChance led a session titled "Breaking Down SPED Eligibility," where she answered and broke down common questions in the special education field, such as "is it a diagnosis, disability, or eligibility?," "how do I turn a psychoeducational evaluation into an IEP?," and "how do I make data-informed decisions for struggling students?"

Brighter Bites is a nonprofit that delivers fresh fruits and vegetables directly into families’ hands.

"By giving kids access to fresh, nutritious food and showing them how to make the most of it, we help turn healthy habits into something even better: healthy lifestyles.” - Lisa Helfman, Brighter Bites Founder
