Many, many thanks to Pirates Charities for creating this opportunity, and all the coaches, David Bednar, Vince Velasquez, Pirate Parrot and the Bucco Brigade for being part of this very special event.

ALTOONA CURVE WITH

LENDING HEARTS

Last month we had great fun meeting our Lending Hearts Families in Altoona, PA where we saw the Altoona Curve Baseball take on the Reading Fightin' Phils at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The Curve is the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. We started the day on the field meeting players in the dugout, moved inside to the press box and then to the indoor batting cages before taking our seats for the game. The theme of the day was Christmas in July.
