ISB speaks at The Martin Luther King, Jr. 51st Annual Commemorative Service
ISB's Amin Tomeh was honored to participate in the inspiring Martin Luther King, Jr. 51st Annual Commemorative Service from Ebenezer Baptist Church on Monday, January 21st.

ļ»æSpeakers at the service included Keynote Speaker, Dr. Bryan Stevenson, the Founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative, Senator David Perdue, Senator Johnny Isakson, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Rev. Dr. Bernice King, Reverend Dr. Raphael Gamaliel Warnock of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Congresswoman Lucy McBath, Georgia's Attorney General Christopher M. Carr, and the daughter of Ghana's first President, Ms. Samia Nkrumah.

The Jesus Fatwah: Love Your Muslim Neighbor as Yourself Panel

On January 16th, ISB Executive Director Soumaya Khalifa participated on a panel at the Cathedral of St. Philip named  The Jesus Fatwah: Love Your (Muslim) Neighbor as Yourself. Khalifa explored how to build bridges and relationships across differences to faith. The program is a 3 part series.
Interfaith Speakers Network presents to W alker School
On January 24th, the Interfaith Speakers Network presented to Walker School. Gareth Young served as the moderator for the 5 person panel. The panel included Valerie Morvan, Kathy Hoffman, Sucheta Kamath, Noor Abaddy, and Corey-Jan Albert.

Chai and Just Chat
ISB Executive Director Soumaya Khalifa served on a panel for a Chai & Just Chat event on January 26th. The topic for discussion was,' World in Pieces or World at Peace: Women as Peace Drivers'.

Volunteer this Friday to Serve TSA Employees a Hot Meal!
The ISB is participating in a national effort that raised over 40K to assist government employees. We are serving TSA employees a hot meal this Friday, February 1st in the international terminal and domestic terminal. 

If you are interested in volunteering, please RSVP by emailing scheduler@isbatlanta.org with your full name (as it appears on your drivers license) and your date of birth. Our volunteers will be meeting from 1 pm to 3:30.

Soumaya Khalifa to Present Cairo to the Cloud  at Atlanta Jewish Film Festival
ISB Executive Director Soumaya Khalifa will be presenting the film From Cairo to the Cloud at The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival on February 10th. The film is about a historic synagogue that uncovered papersā€”religious texts, love letters, medical prescriptions, childrenā€™s drawings, even invoicesā€”that provide the clearest look at the cultural and economic lives of everyday Jews, Christians and Muslims. By tracking the painstaking efforts of scholars to restore, translate and preserve this astonishing find, award-winning filmmaker Michelle Paymar reveals a period of religious tolerance nearly unthinkable today.

Khalifa to join 2019 Academy of Women Achievers
ISB Executive Director Soumaya Khalifa will be recognized by the YWCA and will be joining the 2019 Academy of Women Achievers alongside Atlanta women leaders on April 10th. For more information on this outstanding honor, please click here.
