PBA Member, Greyhound Bus Lines is once again offering free rides to help people in need this holiday season. It’s part of the transportation company’s Home Free program.

For 35 years, Greyhound has helped runaways, homeless persons and exploited youth reunite with their families or legal guardians with a free bus ticket home or to a stable and safe place. Read more...

PBA and GNJMA are co-hosting a webinar on Crisis Management Strategies, facilitated by Jill Nagy, Esquire. Crisis management takes on many forms depending on the nature of the emergency and the nature of your agency's operations.  

The discussion will be centered on:

  • Preparedness
  • Types of crisis situations that may impact the motor coach industry.
  • Strategies to mitigate risk in various crisis situations.

Perspective in the conversation will be both from a legal and risk management perspective.

Driver & Employee of Distinction Awards Nomination Period is Open - Deadline to Nominate is January 31, 2023

The PBA Driver & Employee of Distinction Awards was developed to honor members' drivers and employees who have demonstrated an exceptional performance record and service to their employer.

NEW! We are inviting our Travel Supplier and Associate Members the opportunity to also nominate an employee for the Employee of Distinction Award.


The award presentation will take place at the 2023 Marketplace Networking Reception on March 27, 2023 in the evening at the Holiday Inn, Morgantown, PA. The deadline to nominate is January 31, 2023. Get more information and start the nomination process.

The 2023 Marketplace will be hosted by Pennsylvania's Americana Region at the Holiday Inn in Morgantown in Morgantown, PA on Tuesday, March 28. The seminar, reception and setup will occur the day before, Monday March 27.

Some important deadlines are right around the corner!

  • January 31, 2023 - Last day for Operators to schedule a FAM Tour.
  • February 15, 2023 - Registration and Sponsorship opportunity deadline. (for guaranteed placement on floor and the Marketplace Directory).
  • March 21, 2023 - Holiday Inn Morgantown hotel overnight room deadline.

2023 PBA’s 100th Anniversary Family Day is June 10, 2023

We are excited to announce the date for our 2023 PBA’s 100th Anniversary Family Day on June 10, 2023 at the Museum of Bus Transportation in Hershey, during their Annual Spring Fling. Save the date!

If PBA members want to drive a bus to the event, we will need to give the AACA a bus count in April, so we are assured a designated parking area large enough. Please let Pattie know if you want to bring a bus. Thank you!

Wolf Cuts Ribbon on Fern Hollow Bridge

Governor Tom Wolf participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Fern Hollow Bridge in Pittsburgh, which reopened to traffic at the end of December. The Fern Hollow Bridge, which is owned by the City of Pittsburgh and carries Forbes Avenue over Frick Park, Fern Hollow Creek and Tranquil Trail, collapsed on the morning of January 28, 2022. Read more...
