         Day Camp News

Hello,

Welcome to March!

Do you want to get the most of your day camp experience.  Why not train your dog all the way into the center?

The dogs that come to camp are so excited to be here to play with their friends.  They are so lucky to have doggy parents as nice as you to give them this opportunity.

When you bring your dog into camp, try training him or her to sit before you open each of the doors.  Then once you get inside, use some treats to have him or her sit before released to us.

You can do the same thing at the end of the day.  They are just as excited to go home at the end of the day as they are to get here.

As we bring your dog to you, why not have a treat and ask them to sit as we get your dog to you?   This will help us to keep your dog from jumping on you!

Old towels that need a home?

It's PAWSible! Day Camp could really use some more old towels for covering up the tops of crates and wiping down wet dogs.  If you have any old towels that need a new home, could you bring them?  We could also use flat sheets (not fitted) to cover wire kennels.  That you so much in advance.
Policy reminder
At It's PAWSible! Day Camp we want our dogs to wear a quick release collar without tags on it.  This is to keep them safe while playing with the other dogs.  It's best to have a collar JUST for camp.  That way you don't have to keep taking the tags off.

Although we do have some spares, we like to reserve those for our dogs that are trying out camp.

Lately, we've had to use 5 to 7 collars a day on dogs that really should have their own camp collars.

If you don't have an extra collar for camp, we sell them very inexpensively.  Just let us know if you need one and we'll fit one for your dog.

Once in a while if you forget your collar, we can use one of ours but we sure would like to see more dogs consistently coming in with collars for camp.

Thank you for your understanding while we work to keep our camp safe for your dog!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
