May 2024 Newsletter

Christine Des Enfants

A Word from our Executive Director

As the flowers bloom and the sun shines, we are thrilled to welcome you to a month filled with growth, connection, and celebration. May is a special time for our community, and this year, we have a lineup of events that promise to be as vibrant and inspiring as the season itself.

Highlight of the Month: Our Annual Luncheon, presented by Huntington National Bank, is not just an event; it’s a tradition that stands as the largest business luncheon in the Cherry Creek Community. Join us on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the HALCYON, a hotel in Cherry Creek, for an afternoon of insightful discussions, networking, and recognition of excellence within our community. This year’s theme, “It’s Always Sunny in Cherry Creek,” reflects our optimistic spirit and the bright future we envision. We are honored to have Elizabeth Garner, State Demographer, as our keynote speaker, and Brian Vogt, CEO of Denver Botanic Gardens, as our emcee. The luncheon will feature a development update as well as the much-anticipated Cherry Creek Chamber Awards Presentations.

Engage and Connect: Our May calendar is brimming with opportunities to engage with fellow professionals and contribute to our beloved community, including two fantastic Young Professionals' events, a Sunrise Scrambler at The Ambrosian Pantry and Business After Hours at Fascinations St. Fine Art Gallery, and finally, our Business Success Series with Wendy De Rosa at Global Down Syndrome Foundation. Each event is a chance to make meaningful connections, learn from one another, and foster a sense of belonging in the Cherry Creek Chamber.

We look forward to sharing these experiences with you. Let’s make May a month to remember!

See you soon,

Christine Des Enfants

What brought you to start your business or get into your industry? Fifteen years ago, a physician friend of mine suggested I look into senior living. I was freshly out of college and looking for a career. I started as a part time admission assistant for a nursing home. I quickly fell in love with the fast paced environment and being able to help seniors continue their recovery after being discharged from a hospital.

What do you love most about what you do? Over the course of my career in senior living, I have not only fallen in love with many residents and families but helped them through the process of finding a new home. The journey of moving into a new community can be challenging, but the reward is seeing new residents make friends and regain independence.

How can the Chamber help you? There are many families that have loved ones who could benefit from a senior living community! Many times touring a community to plan for the future is not high on anyone’s to-do list. By partnering with the Chamber and co-hosting events, it would provide exposure to MorningStar Observatory Park and may be the catalyst to start a conversation with a family that has been putting it off.
