YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Thanks to your generous support and commitment to our cause, Pediatric Cancer Foundation continues to contribute to leading pediatric oncology institutions. We are proud to currently support 12 cutting-edge research projects. Through your generosity, we have added Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and John Hopkins University to our elite group of PCF funded hospitals.

EXCITING NEWS

Our largest single contribution to date ($1 Million!) was given to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to help fund a planned first-in-human phase 1 clinical trial led by Sarah K. Tasian, MD, which will use a new immunotherapy to target the FLT3 receptor protein in high-risk pediatric leukemias.

Cocktails for a Cure

On November 16th, we gathered together at Moderne Barn in Armonk, NY for our annual gala, Cocktails for a Cure. There's no greater way to spend an evening than with our PCF Community raising money for a worthwhile cause, to eradicate pediatric cancer. Thank you to everyone who showed up, for digging deep and for sharing your love and generosity in helping us achieve our mission.

Our first PCF Ambassador Award

Pediatric Cancer Foundation honored Gigi Ambrosio at Cocktails for a Cure for her drive and determination to defeat cancer. Gigi is an inspiration to us and others in her personal mission to eradicate children's cancer.

Our Keynote Speaker, Chris Lamberto

Chris and his family have continuously supported our charity after he was diagnosed with cancer at 6 years old. Chris takes his chance at life as an opportunity to give back however he can, to build a legacy of goodness and generosity that ripples out into the world.

Congratulations to PCF's Brooklyn Chapter, chaired by the Lamberto family, for hosting their PCF Comedy Night on November 4th and raising $20,000

On December 3, our incredible Junior Committee successfully raised over $25,000 for pediatric cancer research during our second annual Zoom Trivia Night. Adam Baranker, a loyal friend of PCF, served as the host, leading 25 teams consisting of over 100 high school students through an hour of mind-bending fun and fundraising. We are immensely proud of these teenagers for their efforts and participation in this special event.

Westchester County Leaders Named September 14 as Pediatric Cancer Foundation Day in Honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Westchester County Executive George Latimer, State Senator Shelley Mayor and County Legislator Nancy E. Barr came together to recognize the children and families who are battling or have battled pediatric cancer in our community and the tireless work that is being done to eradicate this dreadful disease, which is currently the leading cause of non-accidental deaths in children.

The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge was illuminated in gold on September 14, officially Pediatric Cancer Foundation Day, in honor of the fight against pediatric cancer.

Special Recognition to our Top Sponsor

The Firmament Group, as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, hosted their Annual Mini Olympics at Chelsea Piers, NYC on September 13th. This event raised $40,300.

PCF was proud to partner with Wegmans and The Westchester to host a number of Bake Sales in 2023 with our Junior Committee. We also want to welcome our newest musical addition, White Plains School of Rock. We are grateful for their sweet support.

In July, we hosted a Cards for a Cure event at Oceanbleu Resort in Westhampton. A fun afternoon of raffles, lunch, sunshine and cards.

Strike Out Cancer

A spectacular springtime event held on June 17. We raised over $30,000 with tremendous support from our Junior Board. After a youth Home Run Derby, the adults competed in a friendly softball tournament.

Summer Camp-a-thon

Our Annual Summer Camp-a-thon was a huge success. Applause to campers, staff and families from Lenox, Ramaquois and Trail's End. Funds raised supported the PCF Therapeutics Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Once again, there's nothing better than #kidshelpingkids.

On April 22nd, our Manhattan Committee hosted their second Toast to Pediatric Cancer Foundation Gala at The DL on the Lower East Side. We are so proud of our Manhattan Committee for bringing so many people together and for their dedication to the mission to find a cure for pediatric cancer.
