Read: Join Our Badass Event of the Year

The Minnesota Women’s Press April 13 event “39 Years of Voice and Vision” will be a jam-packed Saturday afternoon event to celebrate Badass Minnesotans — and our survival as the longest continuously run feminist publication in the U.S.

We will be learning about upcoming content and conversations toward reducing gender-based violence in Minnesota, electing diversity in Greater Minnesota politics, and steps toward stronger collective health around housing, mental health, substance use, and youth well-being.

Legacy Story: From the First Issue of Minnesota Women's Press in April 1985

This is the first issue of Minnesota Women’s Press.

At a time when women are making news in more ways than ever before, Minnesota Women’s Press will do what no other Minnesota newspaper does: it will specialize in news by, for, and about women. Its focus will be on how events affect women’s lives, how women affect events, and what women are thinking and feeling about it all.



Volunteers Needed

The state is looking for volunteers who are passionate about serving people in long-term care.

There are more than 2,500 nursing homes and assisted living facilities across Minnesota. Fewer than 50 of those facilities currently have a Certified Ombudsman Volunteer. If you are interested visit mn.gov/ooltc/ volunteerwithus.
