It Was Great to See You at PAG 30!

Your presence helped to make this meeting a great success,

and your enthusiasm helped make our time together both productive and fun.

We hope you had many happy reunions and interesting discussions with fellow attendees, and experienced informative and inspiring workshops and sessions.

Soon, we'll start planning to do it all again next year, and we hope you will be joining us for PAG 31, January 12-17, 2024

PAG 30 By the Numbers

Attendees

This year there was a total of 2,728 attendees representing 60 countries. Approximately 35% traveled to PAG from outside the US. About 75% (2,057) selected "Plant", and 25% (671) checked "Animal", as their area of study.

Scientific Program

The program consisted of 198 scientific workshops, 19 industry workshops, and 970 posters were presented. There was a record breaking total of 2,351 speaker presentations uploaded.

Exhibit Stats

In the Exhibit Hall we had 146 global companies represented, which along with 558 registered booth staff brings the total PAG attendance to 3,286 - over the 6 days of the meeting.

Additionally, hungry PAG attendees ate over 13,000 breakfast pastries,

9,000 brownies and cookies, 8,500 lunches, 12,000 sodas, 450 pizzas

(in the Monkey Bar and MRKT) and drank over 600 gallons of coffee!

PAG Mentor Program

Thank you to all who participated in the first ever PAG Mentoring Program. We are especially grateful to the Mentor Program Organizing Committee (Hans Cheng, Max Rothschild, David Grant) for making this program such a success.

In total, we had 36 First-Timers, and 18 Mentors. In addition to receiving valuable guidance from their mentor, all in attendance at the Mentor Breakfast also received some fun PAG gifts, and many chose to join the VIP Mentor table at the banquet.

We plan to expand and continue the program next year, so please consider being a mentor to share your knowledge and experience of navigating PAG with someone attending for the first time.

In Memorium - Dr. Tom K. Blake

We are very saddened to share news of the passing of Dr. Tom K. Blake in December 2022. Dr. Blake was a longtime PAG supporter and Organizing Committee Member for over 10 years, and we are grateful for his many contributions to the meeting, including most recently as Travel Grant Coordinator.
