The expression "it is what it is" was voted USA Today's number one cliché in 2004. For some, the phrase means “it’s not going to change, so get over it already!” This interpretation is deep in the well of negative thinking. This mindset suggests that the situation appears to be beyond change so accept it as it is because that’s life.
The Wright brothers lived at a time of incredible skepticism and disbelief concerning man’s ability to fly, but they thought, "If we worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true really is true, then there would be little hope for advance."
The Wright brothers did not subscribe to “It is what it is!” Through skepticism, and disbelief around the world, and no financial backing in the initial stages, the Wright brothers chose to believe that things could be different.
Many hold to this negative outlook or pattern of life. However, Orville and Wilbur Wright believed differently. They thought, “It is not what it could be!” They had a God perspective of the future.
