The NEW! Fibromyalgia AWARE
Issue 3 - Winter 2016
NFA Logo
For years, the men in the FM community have truly been good sports, wearing pink, cranberry and butterflies in support of fibromyalgia and the women who have been primarily affected by Fibromyalgia.

Now, in Issue 3, we honor these men who have suffered silently beside us. As they tell their stories we uncover some universal truths to fibromyalgia. It's important for all of us to be recognized. Men get fibro, too!

Issue 3 is a tribute to the growing population of men with fibromyalgia. If you know any men who are living with pain and fatigue, please forward this email to them, or tell them about FM and the NFA.
It's Not Just for Women!

Men Get FM Too

In this issue, we focus on topics of interest to men with fibromyalgia. We introduce our new NFA spokesperson, Nick Lutes, and we bring you other stories and news relevant to men with fibro.

Once again, we revisit letters from the 100 Letter Campaign of 1997. We can see that in 1997, the struggle for men was much the same as today: how to live with fibromyalgia and still feel like a man.
Can Pain & Intimacy Coexist?
findings from the FM Intimacy Survey
FM Intimacy Thank you to the 32 men and 452 women who took our Fibromyalgia Intimacy Survey! We learned a lot about the sex lives of the FM community, and we're not about to keep it a secret.

Not surprisingly, most respondents said that fibromyalgia has changed the way they are intimate with their partners due to pain and exhaustion. The good news is that they shared the details of how they keep the love alive despite FM.
