ADULT PROGRAM - Outdoor Yoga for Adults on the Library Lawn
Friday, August 25, at 6:00 PM (In-Person)
Our Outdoor Yoga for Adults on the Library Lawn series comes to an end for another year this Friday, August 25, at 6:00 PM.
Kasia Pelepko is a Rochester-based yoga teacher who has trained in a variety of yoga systems and movement modalities. The common thread in her classes is to highlight how resilient, capable, and adaptable all of us are.
Her “Earth to Sky Series” will explore connections between different areas of the body from the ground (earth) up (to sky) to encourage movement options. The movement in this series will be taught through the lens of yoga asana (shapes that look a certain way on the outside) and some somatic techniques (what you perceive from the inside). We’ll also focus on other aspects of yoga including pranayama, concentration, and meditation. We’ll come back to earth at the end of each class with some satisfying stretches and savasana (final resting pose) to allow for some integration and rest.
This Outdoor Yoga for Adults on the Library Lawn series is suitable for anyone who can get up and down from the ground. Yoga blocks and straps will be provided, but please bring a yoga mat, towel, or blanket for cushioning.
If you’d like to attend Outdoor Yoga for Adults on the Library Lawn on August 25th, please register now through our Event Calendar.
