School News

Please DO NOT change the student email(s) for your child(ren) on FACTS. All students must have an email in order to access Clever, STAR Assessments, Accelerated Readers, Lexia, etc. 

Students in grades  who use Google Classroom can only receive emails from their teachers, unless the teacher allows emails from other students. Students cannot receive emails from outside sources. 

Students in grades who do not use Google Classroom, cannot access their email accounts, let alone receive emails on this. 

The emails are associated with the school account and allow access to all educational technology. Please do not change these emails. 

All elementary schools in the Diocese of Columbus use FACTS as our Student Information System and Tuition Management System. We have integrated these two systems as of last year. 

In addition to  to accessing information including calendars, lunch menus, grades, etc., all paperwork including medial information, consent forms, and re-enrollment are all done through the FACTS portal.

All parents must complete the Web Forms included on the FACTS Website. Some of these forms have already been completed when returning families re-enrolled or when new families enrolled. In that case, please confirm that all information is correct. Please click on this link for detailed instructions on how to complete these Web Forms. 

Invoices for lunches and milk purchased via FACTS for the 5 days in August will be sent sometime this week. Thank you for your patience. If you have charges with the invoice you were not expecting, please have a conversation with your child about the charges associated with receiving lunches and/or milk at school.

Please do not send cash with your child for lunches.

If you feel your family may benefit from the Free & Reduced Lunch program and would qualify based on the income eligibility guidelines, please complete the application by clicking on the link below.

St. Catharine School will be offering After School Homework Help for students in 3rd through 8th grade, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, starting Monday, September 12th. 

Students will report to the cafeteria for a snack and then to a designated room to finish homework, study, silently read, work in small groups, or engage in enrichment activities. Parents should plan for their students to stay until 4:30 PM and will pick up their students in the front of the building. 

We are in need of lunch and recess volunteers. SPICE and HASA are also looking for volunteers later this month:

1. Cafeteria Duty (11:00 to 1:00)
2. Playground Duty (11:00AM to 12:20PM)
3. SPICE Oktoberfest (Saturday 9-17 from 5:45-10:45)
4. Mums Sale Pick-Up (Friday 9-23 from 3:30-6PM)

First Holy Communion for 2nd grade students will be scheduled on Saturday, May 6th at 11AM at St. Catharine Church.

Due to a new scheduled conflict with Bishop Fernandes and after much deliberation, the 8th Grade Confirmation mass will now be scheduled for Thursday, May 18th at 7PM at St. Catharine Church.

Creative Activities Program (CAP) is in need of volunteers to help lead clubs for the fall session.

Clubs are open to grades 1-8 and one day a week after school from approximately 3:00 to 4:00. The fall session dates are from October 10th to November 18th.

Please consider giving an hour per week on the day of your choice to lead a club. This would be a great way to earn volunteer hours and can be anything from Legos to gardening to science club. I am happy to help with any ideas and materials to get your club started. HASA will reimburse you for materials used and snacks.

Our students really enjoy participating in after school clubs but it is essential for parent involvement to keep these clubs going.

Join us Saturday, September 17th at 6:00pm for the Inaugural Oktoberfest Benefitting SPICE (Special People in Catholic Education)at the St. Catharine Parish Center.

Fall Season Boys Lacrosse Skills

October 3rde through the 6th and October 10th through the 13th

St Catherine Field from 3:30 until 5:00PM

Open to all 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders. 

1st and 2nd graders welcome, but will be playing and practicing with older players. 

Players will be working  on  stick skills, drills, shooting skills, and scrimmaging.
