February 2017 news and updates:
"We need to start setting up my little sister for a successful life"
Money Coach students Divyne and Chue (background) network with local business leaders and receive financial advice during a recent event .

What can a current college student do to prepare their newborn baby sister for the future? Daisy, 19, knows and she gives much of the credit to her Money Coach mentors and lessons.  Money Coach students and alum like Daisy shared heartwarming and empowering stories of finding financial freedom in January during our "Your Two Cents" event.

Now in print: your impact in our "decade of difference" for teenagers

Our 2015-2016 Annual Report is now available for you to read and download from our website. The Annual Report showcases a "decade of difference" from your role in support, advocacy, volunteering and partnerships. There are so many teen success stories! But we think you'll agree that many more teens still need these skills and resources.

Did you know? Money Sense has new ways to teach budgeting

One of the exciting new program updates we've rolled out is a more interactive budgeting exercise. The Money Sense budgeting activity now encourages students to consider spending and saving habits along different careers.

If you haven't led a Money Sense lesson yet this year and missed one of our in-person/webinar trainings, you can stay on top of these and other changes through online training.

To participate/revisit online training:
1) Click on the "Volunteer Log In" link at the top right of our website
2) Sign in with your volunteer log in email and password.
3) Click on the "Online Training" link on the left.
4) Follow instructions to watch videos on updated curriculum.

St. Anthony High School teens hear about budgets from volunteers Mary Barnum, left, and Michael Groeschl.

Talking Money Sense: Brenda Campbell joins Karen Ellenbecker's radio show

The "Money Sense" radio show dedicated an entire broadcast to the value of volunteering and sharing financial literacy with teens in Wisconsin. Listen here as our President and CEO, Brenda Campbell , joins volunteer Jill Economou on Karen Ellenbecker's comprehensive finance show.
Supporter spotlight: monthly giving really adds up for Wisconsin students

There is a new and easy way to support teens in our programs. Monthly giving divvies out a donation every month automatically from your account. Some supporters find this style of support offers a manageable way to impact teens throughout the year.

Sandy Dunst, who's supported Make A Difference as a volunteer and donor since 2010, shared with us why she switched to monthly giving.

"It's nice to know that through my monthly donation, at least one student is receiving the skills and knowledge to help them grow into financially secure adults each month."

For more details on monthly giving options, visit our Donate page.

Students at schools like Shorewood H.S. (pictured) are those whom Sandy Dunst thinks about each month as she takes part in our new monthly giving option.
