New & Updated Forms from CT Realtors

There are several new and revised forms available as a PDF on the CT Realtors website and has been provided to electronic forms vendors to be included in the CTR forms library.

DCP Summary of Real Estate Licensing Law Changes Effective April 1

Many changes to the state’s real estate licensing laws went into effect on April 1. They are the result of legislation passed and then signed by the governor last year. DCP has a summary of the changes on its website, which you can find here.

DCP Fines for Late CE Completion

CE Salesperson Deadline has passed - February 28, 2024

Broker CE Deadline is August 30, 2024

Please be aware that the DCP has set the following fines for late CE completion: If a real estate licensee fails to complete their CE for any two-year license period, they must pay:

·        $315 if CE is completed within 2 months after the CE completion deadline; or

·        $625 if CE is completed within 2 to 4 months after the CE completion deadline.

Antitrust Reminder

CTR encourages members to again review the under 5-minute antitrust compliance video. Absolutely no one should be posting anything about commission rates or the business decisions of other real estate companies as it relates to cooperative compensation. Again, the CTR antitrust video will recap what's not okay.
