The new slate of RIBA officers’ terms begin on July 1, 2023, with Nicole J. Benjamin, Esq. at the helm as the Rhode Island Bar Association President. During this year's Annual Meeting Nicole pledged to uphold and further the Bar Association’s core mission and goals. According to Nicole, "I am tremendously grateful for the work of Mark Morse and the RIBA Presidents who preceded him. I am committed to carrying forward that work by ensuring that our members feel a sense of belonging within our bar community, by developing a strong and diverse pipeline to leadership in the bar and by investing in the coming generations."

Immediate Past President Mark B. Morse passed the gavel to Nicole at this year’s Annual Meeting. According to Mark, “Throughout the year, as in years past, we have been committed to serving our membership by trying to maintain inclusiveness and diversity. I want to thank you for allowing me to continue with that commitment, and for the support and encouragement you have shown as we strive to make the Bar Association more responsive to your needs. I am enthused by the programs and initiatives being developed by Nicole Benjamin as she begins her term as President. I look forward to working with her and the entire Executive Committee as we continue to shape the Rhode Island Bar Association to meet the goals of our membership and our clients.”
