INTRODUCING TABLE 1837 AT THE

GLEN ROCK MILL INN

200 years of history and 40 years of hospitality reimagined in our updated, upscale dining concept at the historic locale

Building on 40 years of dining history and hospitality at The Glen Rock Mill Inn Brandon C. Hufnagel and his staff are excited to announce their newest concept, TABLE 1837 at The Glen Rock Mill Inn featuring fine dining and classic cuisine with a modern outlook. The new TABLE 1837 offers guests the chance to enjoy fine dining in a newly restored, relaxed, and historic atmosphere while sampling the personal favorite foods and flavors of its proprietor.

TABLE 1837’s cuisine, produced by its professional kitchen staff, is primarily locally sourced, sustainable and from family-owned farms and ranches. TABLE 1837’s 150-plus bottle wine list offers high quality selections from around the world with an additional full-service bar featuring a wide selection of curated cocktails and liquors, whiskey, bourbon, scotch and local craft brewed beers. The restaurant offers an elegant dining atmosphere with a warm home-like feel. The dining rooms feature linen draped tables spaced to offer a private feeling to your dining experience, surrounded by 200-year-old hand hewn beams, brick and stonework. The more casual Tavern Room offers a full-service bar and cocktail style dining and stays open late to offer that perfect post dinner espresso, port wine, scotch or night cap before heading to your hotel suite at the Glen Rock Mill Inn. Each of the dining spaces has its own unique character, from the intimate seating in the Wine Cellar to the natural spring of the Conservatory or the baby grand piano and artwork in the Gallery. Add to these spaces the newly designed Glatfelter Dining Room, offers spacious tables for nightly dining and can accommodate groups up to fifty persons. The beautiful outdoor patio-courtyard is perfect for an al fresco cocktail or meal. The professional service staff is welcoming, and skilled but not overbearing, making TABLE 1837 the ideal place for a celebration, private event or just a weeknight dinner.

The town of Glen Rock and “The Mill”, its oldest extant building, have always held a special place in its owner’s heart. From age fourteen, Brandon started a career in hospitality that has spanned over 30 years and many facets of the industry. Graduating from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in 1997 led to a stint at the famed Greenbrier Hotel, followed by a fellowship in wines and table service. He continued to work in the hospitality industry rounding out his career as an Executive Chef, service manager, general manager and wine specialist; work that spanned from the Hudson Valley of New York to West Virginia, Philadelphia, Lancaster County, and back home to York County, Pennsylvania.

The Glen Rock Mill Inn was Brandon’s first job as a teenager and ignited his passion for the hospitality industry. When presented the opportunity to purchase the restaurant and hotel in 2017 he jumped at the chance to return to his roots. Settling back on his family’s farm just outside of town, Tulsi Fields, as its 6th generation proprietor, he began running the restaurant and hotel in January 2018. Since then, his focus has been on bringing true fine dining, impeccable hospitality and country elegance to the Central Pennsylvania and Baltimore metro areas. Brandon is committed to combining farm fresh classic cuisine with an updated twist and historic lodging with modern amenities in the 200-year-old atmosphere of the restored woolen mill.
