The benefits of scrim-free batting are self-evident; greater loft (especially with the added Poly), more fibre, and a beautifully soft drape. All of these work together to give your quilt a traditional look and feel.
Our Organic Bamboo is the most eco-friendly fibre we produce as it grows and regrows without the need for supplemental irrigation or insecticides. This fibre is 100% sustainable and all naturally grown. Bamboo also has natural anti-bacterial properties making it ideal for bedding products, and is arguably the softest fibre we use. As there are no seeds or vegetable matter, pre-washing is not necessary.
The fine, uniform batting enables needles (both machine and hand) to glide effortlessly through, as there are no scrims, glues, or other binders to create resistance.

Compared to our normal batting, which requires quilting every 10 inches, scrim-free batting requires quilting every 6-8 inches. Make sure you adhere to the label's care instructions.
