GLCO presents Handel’s Messiah with dazzling vocal solos, instrumental fireworks, and splendid choral writing making this one of the most beloved Holiday traditions. Young Children Library Series,
continues with Winds - Tempo
Open to the public, and free of charge, this family-friendly program is designed to introduce young children to music in an entertaining setting. The 45-minute sessions are aimed at encouraging children’s involvement and interest in music.

November 2 features GLCO musicians, Lynn Hansen, oboe, and Jayne Winchester, clarinet, teaching the basics of fast and slow Tempo. Join us at 10:30 am Saturday at the Petoskey District Library!

GLCO Spotlight
If you know GLCO, you know Music Director, Dr. Libor Ondras. He is a conductor, viola recitalist and educator.

Dr. Ondras has performed with major orchestras throughout the US
and Europe including Florida Orchestra, Utah Symphony, Houston Grand Opera and Vienna Philharmonics. He has given lectures and played recitals for the American Viola Society and International Viola D’Amore Society. His research and scholarly writings were published in the Journal of American Viola Society.

Ondras’ conducting engagements include Music Director of the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra of Petoskey and Kent Philharmonic Orchestra of Grand Rapids and guest conductor for the Slovak State Opera. Dr. Ondras currently serves as a Director of Orchestras and String Specialist at Grand Rapids Community College.
