July 2017

WOW. This weekend is going to be a doozy. Somehow we're going to clone
ourselves and be in two places at once to make sure you get maximum INK
exposure. It will be INKTASTIC. This Saturday, 2-5pm, CPC opens its
with demos and bookmaking and other activities for the whole family. MEANWHILE... CPC will also be slinging etchings over at the nearby
from Friday through Sunday (see below for times). For those of you who prefer their ink shaken to a world music beat, mixed with a craft beer, and eaten with a corn dog, these are your people. We suggest you attend both events (one has air conditioning). Either way, lots of ways to get your ink on July 7-9. Read on...
In the meantime, have a wonderful 4th!

Art has no barriers or borders and broadens our idea of what is possible. Durer... Rembrandt... Blake... Goya... Kollwitz... Posada... Cassatt... Hokusai; the great printmakers of the past 300 years easily outlive and transcend whoever happens to be king, dictator, or president. In light of recent political events in the U.S., the CPC renews its commitment to showcasing the best of International artists. Last month, 71 prints from Iran graced our walls, and in the fall the gallery looks forward to featuring the work of 12 printmakers from Thailand. For now, we highlight some of the finest prints in the galaxy.
