Dear LNC Families,
We are pleased to announce that Mark Maleck has been named Interim High School principal effective July 1, 2024. Mr. Maleck brings 8 years of administrative experience in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system, with his most recent role as an administrator at North Mecklenburg High School. Mr. Maleck’s career includes a blend of classroom experience, project management and school leadership. He earned his B.A. and Masters in Secondary Education from the University of West Virginia, and received his administrative certification at University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Mr. Maleck understands LNC’s culture and tradition, having been involved in many school activities with his wife, LNC alumnus and kindergarten teacher, Korrine Maleck. When Mr. Maleck is not at school, you will find him spending time with his young family. He is a native of Buffalo, New York, and although he relocated to the Charlotte area, he remains a dedicated Buffalo Bills fan.
Our high school families will have opportunities to meet Mr. Maleck in the upcoming months. In the meantime, please join us in welcoming Mr. Maleck to our LNC community.
