MIROWITZ SERIES REPORT


For the month of August, Interfaith Partnership held our Mirowitz Series events. Board Vice President Dr. Valerie Karras shared her knowledge and public speaking skills as she taught about the East-West Divide between the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. Board President Jack Sisk gave a wonderful presentation and shared his powerful conversion to the Hindu faith. Rabbi Howard Kaplansky, Sister Carla Mae Streeter and Imam Ibrahim Sabray spoke about the afterlife. Board member Dr. Ghazala Hayat shared an amazing presention on Mecca, the holiest site in Islam.


Thank you to all who participated in these events, The Jewish Community Relations Council and the Mirowitz Center for co-sponsoring this series with us!

Finding Peace in Current Times

at the Saint Louis Art Museum


Come to the Saint Louis Art Museum for Finding Peace in Current Times, a day of collaborative programming sponsored by SLAM and Arts & Faith St. Louis. The day-long event will include film screenings, a live youth performance that includes spoken word, music, and dance, and guided interfaith tours in the SLAM collection galleries that focus on themes of light, darkness, nature, and peace. The event is free and no pre-registration is required. Brief summary schedule is below. Additional details will be shared closer to the event date.

3:00 pm – Interfaith tours in the Galleries of specially-chosen art in the SLAM collection

4:30 pm – Film screening in The Farrell Auditorium
