Pennsylvania Sees Results After Legalizing Speed Cameras

According to a study conducted by the University of Pennsylvania, the use of speed cameras saves lives in urban areas and highways.


After a successful pilot program on Philadelphia’s Roosevelt Boulevard, the city is looking to install more cameras, and is serving as a model for other US cities with high pedestrian and traffic death rates.

Scranton Nonprofit Brings Neurofeedback to NEPA, Results “Life-Changing”

A Scranton nonprofit is now offering neurofeedback therapy, which studies show can improve cognitive function, mental health symptoms, and help alleviate psychiatric disorders.


Integrative Mind and Body Services (IMBS), which also has locations in Susquehanna and Dauphin counties, will plan to provide neurofeedback services at a discounted or no cost.


The center will also provide biofeedback services, which include monitoring heart rate, muscle tension, and body temperature to regulate bodily functions.

Biden Awards $1.7 Billion to Boost EV Manufacturing and Assembly in PA and Seven Other States

This month, The Biden Administration is granting nearly $2 billion to carmakers to revitalize and expand electric vehicle manufacturing and assembly in Pennsylvania and seven other states.


The funding will cover various parts of the automotive supply chain, including electric motorcycles, buses, hybrids, and SUVs.


The grants are backed by the 2022 Climate Law, as a part of the national commitment to reducing carbon emissions and investing in renewable energy and manufacturing.

The Changing Medical Debt Landscape in the United States

Studies show that medical debt can worsen financial challenges, as well as negatively impact health care access and health outcomes.


Over the last two years, three credit companies across the nation have made changes to their medical debt reporting policies, such as removing credit reports and removing debt in collections from Vantage credit scores.


Despite a significant positive change for many Americans, over 15 million still have medical debt in collections; The Urban Institute discusses the shifting landscape of medical debt across the nation, as well as positive implications of changing medical debt reporting.
