HELP PROTECT ART IN HOUSTON
An unprecedented coalition of arts organizations serving the Houston region has launched a new fund to provide basic needs to the arts community during the pandemic.
The Greater Houston Arts Relief Fund
supports critical life needs, such as housing, health, and food security for individuals who work in the arts—many of whom cannot currently access unemployment or business loans due to restrictions, while they struggle to provide food for their families and pay other critical bills. Already, a survey of economic impact from March 27 shows 75% of artists’ contracts being cancelled and hundreds of layoffs.
