From the President

With activities hosted across all three campuses, USF Week was a fantastic celebration of our university's rich history and the traditions that unite our Bulls community every day. I was proud to join our students, faculty and staff at several events throughout the week, including the USF Week kickoff, Rocky's Birthday Bash and our sold-out Spring Football Game at Corbett Stadium.

Amid the festivities, we also shared some exciting news about USF's on-campus stadium. We released new renderings of this transformational facility and announced that the groundbreaking ceremony will take place in October during USF Homecoming Week. We also selected a highly experienced team to serve as the construction manager for the new stadium. You can read more here.

Updates

We are thrilled that many USF graduate programs are included among the nation’s best in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. This recognition underscores the commitment of our faculty and staff, who continue to provide high-quality programs that empower our students to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge and progress in their careers by earning an advanced degree.

The continued pursuit of excellence by our faculty is the driving force behind USF's bold trajectory, and we were delighted to celebrate their achievements at the USF Faculty Honors and Awards Reception. These talented scholars ensure that our university continues to advance new knowledge, foster innovation and make a positive impact on society, and it is because of their valued contributions that USF is one of the youngest institutions ever invited to join the Association of American Universities.

At the USF International Business Forum, I was pleased to welcome hundreds of attendees and to share with them the important role our university plays in fostering global engagement in the Tampa Bay region. The event provided opportunities to network and learn more about resources available both through USF and our community partners. Many thanks to our teams in USF World, the Office of University Community Partnerships and the Muma College of Business for helping make this forum a great success.

One of the great benefits of being a USF student is the ample opportunities to engage in research, and I was thrilled to see nearly 600 students presenting at USF's Undergraduate Research Conference. For the first time, this year's event was a One USF initiative, with all three campuses working closely together to promote the insightful discoveries of our students. Hosted by the Office of High Impact Practices and Undergraduate Research, this event would not be possible without the dedicated faculty mentors who support our students throughout their scholarly endeavors.

As a proud alumna of Leadership Tampa, I was delighted to join the Class of 2024 for their annual Education Day and to participate in a panel discussion alongside fellow presidents from the University of Tampa and Hillsborough Community College. This year’s class includes USF's Jen Fleischman and Terrie Daniel, who also serves as class chair. Led by USF Health's Joanne Sullivan, a fellow LT alumna, this event was a wonderful opportunity to share how USF is making an impact on communities throughout Tampa Bay.
