Employee of the Week

Employee of the Week

Herschel Gay serves as IT Administrative Support in the Performance and Information Technology Division at APS. As a member of the IT Department for over 26 years, his job responsibilities include IT support at the central office and audio-visual (AV) support for special events throughout the district.

Herschel’s contributions to the district extend far beyond his occupation, as he is beloved for his commitment to volunteering countless hours to serve students and families in need. Diagnosed with kidney disease over 10 years ago, Herschel underwent a transplant that unfortunately had shorter functionality than expected. However, we are happy to report that Herschel has found a new donor and is currently recovering from a successful kidney transplant! Colleagues, join us in wishing Herschel a smooth, complete, and speedy recovery.

APS is comprised of thousands of employees who each contribute to the success of our great district. Each week, we will feature an APS employee and tell you a little about what they do. Let's get to know each other and celebrate our colleagues!
