Research into Changing Macroeconomic Environment and its Impact on Pricing

The Medical Device sector is highly competitive, vendors must continue to provide competitive prices in the market. As inflationary pressures shape the way businesses think and plan for the future, it is becoming increasingly important to stay ahead of competition and think quick when the macroeconomic pricing environment changes. As rising costs will be passed on to customers, companies will need to strategically price their products.

Junicon conducts price sensitivity research with health care system stakeholders in order to provide guidance on how to manage price adjustments without risking losing valuable client business.

How Covid-19 Changed Healthcare IT
As the pandemic has had a huge impact on health care systems worldwide, we have tracked the far-reaching changes on how Covid-19 has re-shaped the way information technology is being used in the healthcare sector today.

A few of these trends are:

  • An increasing use of patient-facing apps that let clinicians communicate with their patient remotely

  • A significant advance towards digitalizing all patient information and making it available across the care spectrum, thus enabling faster, more cost-effective, and more competent patient management

  • Massive investment by health providers globally to improve the IT infrastructures

All this provides new opportunities for health technology suppliers to gain or expand IT-based business in the healthcare sector.

Junicon is assisting its global clients to identify opportunities and better understand the focus for and size of these new fields in development.

Breadth of New Online Methodologies
The pandemic brought many challenges to performing medical market research over the past two years, as in-person interviews and traditional focus groups in central viewing facilities were heavily restricted.

In response to these challenges, Junicon relied on long experience with online quantitative fieldwork to enable remotely administered qualitative interviews using new tools and methodologies used previously only in live settings.

Video conferencing software allowed respondents to experience new products safely and give live feedback using interactive online studies, allowing robust discussions on product assessments, concept testing, and marketing message evaluation.
