Information, Input & Networking Session for Trust Parenting & Family Strengthening Grants on Dec. 15 | |

Do you provide high-quality group, individual or home visiting parenting programming? If so, we encourage you to join us for our Information, Input and Networking session on Dec. 15, 9:30 a.m.-noon via Zoom.
This session will provide information on program requirements and gather your input. Coming in February, The Children’s Trust will be looking for applicants for a new 5-year funding cycle that will start in October 2023.
The Parenting and Family Strengthening request for proposals (RFP) grant applications are scheduled to be released in February 2023, but don’t wait. Join our Information, Input and Networking session to learn more:

Celebrate 20th Anniversary of The Trust at HistoryMiami | |
In honor of our 20th Anniversary, The Children’s Trust and HistoryMiami Museum have put together The Children's Trust 20th Anniversary Exhibition in the Community Gallery at the museum, 101 West Flagler St., Miami, FL 33130. The exhibition is free and is open regular museum hours through Dec. 11. It features a timeline of historical accomplishments, stories of those who helped make it what it is today and some of the children whose lives it impacted. | |

Volunteer Reviewers Needed for Funding Applications | |

The Children's Trust is seeking volunteers to review funding applications. Requirements include:
- Active and interested in improving the community
- Reside in and familiar with Miami-Dade
- At least 18 years of age
- English language fluency (written and spoken)
- Ability to utilize online application system
- Ability to carefully read applications and write feedback
- Attend training and debriefing meetings
- Commit 20-30 hours total time over four week period

Project RISE Trust Academy Spotlight: Introduction to Project Based Learning | |

Project Based Learning (PBL) is a way to engage youth by connecting them with real-world experiences; motivating them to solve problems in their communities and exposing youth to a wide range of career options. The Introduction to Project Based Learning course offers Youth Development staff an introduction on what the PBL journey is all about and is a prerequisite to the upcoming Applying Project Based Learning course.

Citrus Family Care Network Looking for Behavioral Health Providers * | |
Citrus Family Care Network (FCN) is looking to identify and pre qualify providers that will offer a continuum of behavioral health services for children and families in Miami-Dade and Monroe County. All providers that wish to offer direct Behavioral Health services to children in the child welfare system will be required to complete a Request for Administrative Qualifications (RFQ) in order to join the Citrus Family Care Provider Network. FCN clients will not be referred to receive behavioral health services outside of this preferred provider network.
The goal of the network is to promote the safety, security and well-being of every child by offering a continuum of prevention, intervention and treatment services that are timely, comprehensive and evidence-based. Citrus Family Care Network is committed to providing our behavioral health partners with referrals, collateral information and a single point of contact to facilitate communication between parties.

Be Strong International FREE Community Food Drive * | Be Strong International will host its FREE monthly food drive on December 8 at Demps Park (former Goulds) from 9 a.m. - noon on a first come, first served basis. Leadership Miami Looking for Community Projects | |
Leadership Miami is one of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s premier programs with focus on leadership development and community impact. The program offers participants the opportunity to meet Miami’s leaders and to share an intensive learning experience that focuses on community issues and leadership development through a planned series of lectures, seminars, small group discussions and leadership skills exercises. A primary component of the program is a community service project. Each team of about 10 up-and-coming young professionals must complete a project that benefits the community and has long-lasting impact.
There is less than two weeks before the Leadership Miami 44 - spring application deadline. Leadership Miami is specifically seeking local nonprofits that need help on a special project and can partner with their program participants to bring it to fruition.
Deadline to apply is Friday, December 2. However, LM program is run twice yearly, and interested nonprofit organizations not able to meet this deadline are encouraged to contact us to submit a project for a later class.

Last Day for Survey for County's CBO Grant Program | |
The Children’s Trust is encouraging all service providers to share their ideas on the Miami-Dade County Community-Based Organization (CBO) Grant Program through a survey that has been extended until November 30. Also, please take advantage of the opportunities below to help shape an important grant program for our community.
Share your ideas with Miami-Dade County’s Office of Management & Budget (OMB) that is seeking input to inform enhancements to the CBO Grant Program.
CBO Leaders, residents, and subject experts are invited to share ideas through:
Residents may share ideas in English, Spanish or Haitian Creole.
Building upon the momentum of Thrive305; results of the current effort will shape the CBO Grant Program that awards $15 million annually to more than 130 CBOs that provide social services in our community.

Community Engagement Manager - ($55,968 Annual)
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for performing a variety of community-driven duties with an emphasis on maintaining contact with community groups, parents, and other caregivers, providing support to residents on children’s needs, as well as evaluating and responding to community needs concerning children. The incumbent exercises independence of action and will possess considerable knowledge of community activities and needs for children and families and use considerable professional judgment in the performance of community engagement work.
Research & Evaluation Analyst - ($55,968 Annual)
The Research and Evaluation Analyst is a critical member of both cross- and inter-departmental teams at The Children’s Trust who engages in proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to the design and effectiveness of various child, youth and family services. Primary responsibilities include: contributing to effective program and systems designs for The Children’s Trust’s priority investments in child, youth and family services; designing and maintaining sound data collection tools and systems to capture meaningful program, operational and community data in a user-friendly, accessible manner; and analyzing and making meaning from available data to tell our stories using compelling visualizations and reports, with an intentional focus on the specific audience and purpose of the message.
Solutions Specialist - ($55,968 Annual)
The Solutions Specialist executes on solutions design in response to business priorities and vetted requirements. This position conducts unit testing and validates use cases to ensure solution aligns with requirements. This position maintains and implements routine solutions under the guidance of senior Technology Design and Solutions team members.
