Advocacy Win! Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) to Now Include Chefs & Cooks
The EMPP allows skilled refugees to immigrate to Canada through economic programs, providing access to a new pool of candidates. The program connects employers with skilled refugees overseas, through organizations that have partnered with Government. The EMPP will now includes chefs and cooks, positions that many of our members are desperately in need of.

Important Notice for Members Hiring Temporary Foreign Workers 
The Provincial government now requires all employers to register with them before hiring foreign workers. This certification is called the Temporary Foreign Worker Act Certificate of Registration. There are no fees but processing time are over 4 weeks so members are encourage to register as soon as possible.
