About India Food Fest
The Indian community of Greater Lafayette is celebrating first of its kind, India Food Fest 2015 in honor of India's Independence.

The community welcomes new Purdue students and faculty and the people of Greater Lafayette to unique opportunity of experiencing the unity and diversity of cultures of the India through its food and festivities.

The Indian community will showcase home-cooked delicacies from various regions of the Indian subcontinent from the North, South, East and West from savory to sweet.

Everyone is invited to come and sample or immerse oneself in the culture.

Food will be for sale and Food Tokens.
Purchase Food Tokens at $1=1 token at the reception desk.
Advance online purchase $20=25 token on or before 19Aug2015.
  
There is no entry fee!

  Fancy Dress Performance
  
This is a callout for kids and adults of all ages, for a fancy dress show at the India Food Fest. You can dress up and showcase any kind of Indian costume. Lots of options to choose from, e.g. an Indian bride/groom from a particular region, a freedom fighter, a traditional dance costume, etc.

We will need your name, the child's name, contact number and details about the costume that he/she is going to wear. Please signup and let us know by August 18, so that we can co-ordinate the presentation time.

 Activities for Kids                                         
  Regional Poster Display
  
Kids are encouraged to participate in a regional theme poster for the event.  Poster boards of 22" x 28" will be provided by BTCCGL for kids to make posters for regional information themes e.g. regional Indian food, culture, history, traditions etc.  Completed posters should be dropped at BTCCGL on or by Sunday August 16  at noon.
