8th-Grade Slideshow

The 8th-Grade Slideshow Committee needs your help. If you have already sent me your pictures, please disregard this email. If you have not done so yet, please email me one infant/toddler picture and one candid picture from when your son/daughter was in 5th grade. These pictures are for the 8th grade slideshow which will be played at the promotion ceremony at the end of the year. Both pictures should just be of the student without any additional people. Please send one email with both pictures to jsatola@independence.k12.oh.us by the end of January and include your student's name in the email subject line.

Class Fees

Please be sure to check your student’s online account for fees that need to be paid. These fees include intramural sports, 7th and 8th grade sports, and all activities/clubs. The $80.00 class fee is also in your student’s EZ pay account and can be paid online or by check.

Wrestling

Congratulations, Metro Division Champion Blue Devils!!!!! Everyone wrestled so hard. No quit in any one of our guys. It was a total team effort!! Josh Sedlock 2nd place, Braedy Vollman 2nd place, Dom D’Auito 2nd place, Levi Sears 3rd place, Harrison Stamp 4th place Nick Spencer 5th place Kaeden Orosz 6th place, Dale Agostino, Connor FitzGerald, Gabe K, Lucas Mylnarczyk, Lucas Patacca, Rex Verlinger, Vito Zygmont, and Sam Wrestler All had wins and scored important team points.

Thank you to Coach Dave Mantz, Coach Joshua Stasek, and Coach Nick Rossi for stepping up!!!! Without you, We could not have done this!! Thank you to all the parents for your support since Coach Stasek has been out, you are the Best!!!!!

8th Grade Basketball

Congratulations to the boys' 8th-grade basketball team for its 55-20 win over Beachwood last night. The Blue Devils held Beechwood to 8 points combined in the last 3 quarters. Bobby Jackson led the team with 19, Milan Makovits had 9, Ethan Mack 8, Troy Snyder 8, DJ Howatt 5, Evan McFeely had 3, and Dylan Volk had 2. Mitchell Creel, Owen Koscho and Jeremy Jacob also contributed!! 

IMS Yearbook

The IMS 2023-2024 Yearbook is now on sale through February 29th for $27. Scan the QR code or go to cavanaughphoto.com/order to place your order. After February 29th, a $5 late fee will be added to the price. No orders will be taken after March 15th. Yearbooks will be delivered to students on the last day of school.
