On the anniversary of America's founding, it is contingent upon us to promote a sense of gratitude in all citizens for the great gift that is America. The founding documents, including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights are rightly deemed the greatest written documents in the history of the world, barring Scripture.
It is in the Bill of Rights where our rights to practice our faith, bear arms, free speech and free assembly are all delineated. We owe a tremendous debt to Our Creator and the Founding Fathers for the freedoms we enjoy.
Some people, though, are lacking in gratitude. They think our founding documents are insufficient. This past week, men pretending to be women presented a "transgender bill of rights" legislative initiative at a special White House ceremony with President Biden. These people think our country as founded is not enough. They demand special protections simply because they like to wear women's clothing. They are working to get these 'protections' codified into federal law (H.R. 269).
Some of their demands include:
--the right for transsexuals to play on sports teams that match their gender identity
--the right for transsexuals to use school facilities that best align with their gender identity
--have transsexual authentic identity respected in the classroom
--eliminating restrictions on gender-affirming medical care and counseling for transgender and nonbinary adults and youth
What does this have to do with education? Notice that many of their demands apply specifically to children, and such legislation will unilaterally require complete validation of a transsexual ideology in our schools, including having transsexual teachers.
As we remember the founding of our nation, let us fight for what truly makes our nation great:
