A) Hernia Awareness...

  • Hernias occur when an organ or tissue bulges through a muscle or the tissue that contains it (Cleveland Clinic).
  • There are a number of types, defined by where they occur in the body (review the following):

B) Brain Awareness...

  • Blood flow (good circulation) is the key to good health! There is a reason that 80% of chronic disease can be managed through diet, exercise, and smoking cessation. Most chronic disease has the same "root cause"; inflammation restricts blood flow not allowing tissue to get the oxygen it needs to be healthy.


C) National Hydration Day is June 23rd!!!

  • 75% of American adults are chronically dehydrated, most of them do not work long days on hot pavement!

Monitor Your Sleep!

Sleep is an overlooked variable making up the "Blueprint to Wellness"!!!

  • Recommended: Adults (18+ years old) get 7-9 hours per night!
  • We require less sleep as we age, however, statistics indicate young adults get less sleep than their older counterparts (statistics).

  • Graphic: Chronic Sleep Deprivation contributes to serious health risks!

$25 Challenge: monitor your sleep for 12 days!!!

  • 1) Download the Sleep Log.
  • If you are unable to print, make your own, I will take it.

  • 2) Complete and record 12 nights of sleep (12 separate days). Submit by 7/15.
  • Email, mail, or fax me a copy.

Note: Every member of the household is encouraged to participate but only one (1) incentive can be issued to each member-household with exception that more than one employee-member lives in the household.
Get your crew (or office) involved!!!
  • Take the lead, be a "Wellness Champion". Encourage the members of your crew to participate in newsletter challenges, have a group discussion and complete the challenge as a team.
