NYMC Celebrates Women’s History Month


NYMC marked Women’s History Month in March with events sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The NYMC community gathered for a film screening of "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" followed by a discussion moderated by Ama C. Buskwofie, M.D., FACOG, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology, on March 26. In conjunction with the Women in Medicine Club, they hosted a special edition of the "Women Physician Series" with guest speaker Padmini Murthy, M.D., M.P.H., M.S., FAMWA, FRSPH, second from right, professor of public health and director of global health, on March 27.

Therapy Dogs Bring Pawsitive Vibes to NYMC


Katie and Milo, therapy dogs from Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause, brought joy to students, staff, and faculty at the Pet the Stress Away event on April 4. Hosted by the Office of Student Mental Health and Wellness in the MEC Lobby, attendees savored sweet treats while enjoying a much-needed de-stress session with these lovable canines.
