Our Savior, Aiea, Provides Over 150 Easter Goodie Bags to the Community | |
Our Savior, Aiea, was once again blessed to provide over 150 Easter goodie bags for the children at River of Life Mission and The Pantry Foodbank. Each goodie bag was filled with some Easter fun stuff – as well as some basic personal hygiene items (and, of course, some age-appropriate Easter Sunday reminders of God’s love).
Their partnership with River of Life goes back 30 years – and The Pantry for the past five years. Both provide more than just food – and they are grateful for the work being done among those in the islands who need a hand up.

Bethany Lutheran Church Honors "Senior" Members and Congregation Friends | |
Bethany Lutheran Church, Menlo Park, honored all of the members and friends of the congregation who are 90 years old or older. A few years ago, Bethany held this celebration with dinner for six people, their families and all who could attend from the church. In 2020, they began planning for another celebration, when the pandemic shut down everything. This year, Bethany decided to have a special coffee hour for all people 90 and older, with cake, lots of food, invitations to their families, and a small gift of remembrance.
Pictured here are ten people who were able to attend. One church member celebrated her ninetieth birthday the Sunday prior.

Kingdom Wins: Five Siblings Baptized at Holy Cross | | |

The Holy Spirit recently led five siblings to the baptism font at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rocklin, CA. The service was officiated by Rev. Marsh Shamberger.
Let us all join in celebrating!

Bethlehem Student is Nevada State Spelling Bee Champion | |
|
Congratulations to Arabella Mendoza, a sixth grade student at Bethlehem Lutheran School in Carson City, Nevada. Arabella is the Nevada State Spelling Bee Champion. Another student from Bethlehem, Annie Munson, placed 4th.
They both went up against 33 other students from across the state. Congratulations to both of these young ladies and to Bethlehem Lutheran School!

Thank you LWML CNH Ladies! Your mighty mites have funded the last grant of 2022-2024 biennium, Grant #17 - Indonesian Hymnal Project for $5,000!

The deadline has been extended to Tuesday, April 30, 2024, to turn in your congregation’s statistics and lay leader updates. The information is submitted through LISN which is found here: https://lc.lcms.org/.
