Installation of Eddie Hosch at Emmanuel Maui
The Hawaii circuit had a good showing despite Hurricane Hone and welcomed newly installed Eddie Hosch as pastor at Emmanuel Maui. Several brothers attended, including CNH President Pastor Mike Lange. Circuit Visitor Mark Zier chimed in with a Zoom blessing as he was grounded by Hurricane Hone. We praise God for Pastor Hosch's ministry and look forward to his work.

Connect Your Students With Local Congregations
Colleges across America have started the new school year already or will be starting in the coming days and weeks. If you have students in your congregation leaving for college, be sure to connect them with a local church and pastor, whether that church has a designated campus ministry or not. And if you know any students attending Chico State University or Butte College in Chico, CA, please contact Pastor Brennan DeForest of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Chico, CA.
May God be with our college students during this very influential time in their lives.

Kingdom Wins: From the Streets to Stability
From Mercy Holistic Ministry: In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mercy Holistic Ministry was searching for a truck driver and cleaners for their shower ministry in Downtown Sacramento. They had 12 applicants scheduled for interviews, but on the day of the interviews, only one person showed up—Marion.
Pastor Berhanu had met Marion earlier at one of the shower sites, where he was volunteering. Seeing his dedication, he asked Marion if he was serious about changing his life, and he assured Pastor that he was. When the interview day came, none of the other candidates showed up, so they hired Marion.
Marion had been struggling with life on the streets, but over the past four years, he has transformed. He is now a supervisor with the organization. Two years ago, he came to Pastor Berhanu with a smile, saying that his income had grown to the point where he was no longer eligible for government assistance, including his EBT card. This was a significant milestone, as it showed that their mission to create a productive generation, not just a consumer generation, was being realized.
Recently, Marion and Pastor Behranu went together to put down the deposit for his new apartment. From living on the streets to sleeping in his car, and now to having his own apartment, Marion’s journey is a powerful testament to the impact of Mercy Holistic Ministry.
