Entry Door Locks

Technology has come a long way from the old skeleton key locks. Most new construction homes are being built with more sophisticated locking systems. Weโ€™ve highlighted a few of these systems that had high ratings for safety, ease of use, and multi-functional...all having unique features and benefits.

Multi-Point Locking System
A key operated multi-point lock system is fitted into the body of the door and locks into the door frame. When the lock is engaged, multiple bolts will slide into the door frame, usually with a minimum of 3 points and sometimes 4 or 5 point. This type of lock provides added security, keeps large doors from warping and is very popular with composite doors. Learn more about multi-point locks here.

Keyless entry
Keyless entry systems allow homeowners to lock or unlock a home without using a mechanical key and lock. These are great locks if you constantly misplace keys, or want easy access for children/guests. Entry options include a keypad, touchscreen, or fingerprint reader (most are battery operated with a low battery warning).

Smart Locks
If youโ€™re looking for optimal functionality in keyless entry door locks, a great option is a Smart lock. These door locking systems allow complete remote access and management from a smartphone app and can connect via a few methods; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-Wave, or Zigbee. Some app features include custom access codes for multiple users such as guests, cleaning service, or contractors, detailed activity logs of entry, voice sensor, biometrix technology and can also integrate with your home security system.
