Vancouver Lake 2nd Treatment on August 2nd

On Friday August 2nd, 2024, AquaTechnex treated algae at Vancouver Lake Regional Park by applying an algaecide to the swim beach at 9:00 a.m.

The algaecide targets and kills algae cells, which may release cyanotoxins as they die. Clark County Public Health is issuing a Warning Advisory due to potential increased toxin levels.

The algaecide is safe for people, pets, and wildlife when used as directed. As a reminder, dogs are prohibited at the park between April 1 and October 31.

The image to the left shows conditions at the swim beach on August 2, 2024 prior to treatment.
