Lights, Camera, Algae!
The image to the right is Microcystis, a type of cyanobacteria found in freshwater, taken from Lacamas Lake near Heritage Park on 8/26/2024.
Interns with Clark County Public Health conduct microscope analysis of lake water and count different types of cyanobacteria that may produce toxins.
