WARNING ADVISORY

  • Lacamas Lake


A beach warning has been issued due to increased levels of bacteria:

  • Swimming and wading not advised especially for young children.  
  • When fishing, clean fish well and wash hands and equipment after.  
  • If coming into contact with water; rinse off before and after. 
  • Know where the bathrooms and changing stations are located.

  • Harmful Algae (cyanobacteria): August 12th

Vancouver Lake Algae Treatment


Clark County’s second treatment of harmful algae at Vancouver Lake Regional Park happened on August 2, 2024. The first treatment was on July 24.


AquaTechnex, a lake and aquatic plant management firm, applied an aquatic algaecide to the water at the Vancouver Lake swim beach. The spray pictured above is an algaecide, which is designed to target and kill cells in harmful algae.

  1. Get a boater's education safety card.
  2. Check equipment before your trip.
  3. Remember sunscreen and life jackets.
  4. Don't drink and boat.
  5. Have fun!

Pack Smart for the Park


When your making plans to visit your local parks, make sure to pack these essential items:


Dog poop bags -Help keep parks clean.


Food and Water -Pack plenty of snacks and water to stay fueled up and hydrated. Use trash cans or carry in-carry out.


Safety items -Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a life jacket if you're playing by the water.
