WARNING ADVISORY

  • Lacamas Lake
  • Round Lake (Issued 8/15/2024)


A WARNING Advisory has been issued due to increased levels of toxins:

  • Swimming and wading not advised especially for young children.  
  • When fishing, clean fish well and wash hands and equipment after.  
  • If coming into contact with water; rinse off before and after. 
  • Know where the bathrooms and changing stations are located. 

Round Lake 8/12/2024 Green/brown harmful algae scum was seen in the water along the walking path from the Lacamas Park parking lot to the dam. Always AVOID areas of scum.

Next Sampling Dates

  • E.coli (bacteria): August 19th
  • Harmful Algae (cyanobacteria): August 19th

Help Keep Our Parks Clean

Our local parks are an important part of our community, keeping them clean helps ensure that you and your other community members can enjoy them for years to come.


Here are some good to know tips on how to keep your local park clean

  1. Take out what you take in: Bring all your belongings back home with you. if you can't find a trashcan, bring your trash out to!
  2. Pick up after your dog: Make sure to bring doggy poop bags with you on your walks or hikes
  3. Volunteer: Help out around your community and volunteer with others for park clean ups
