WARNING ADVISORY

  • Lacamas Lake (issued 7/3/24)


A Warning Advisory has been issued due to increased levels of toxins:

  • Swimming and wading not advised especially for young children.  
  • When fishing, clean fish well and wash hands and equipment after.  
  • If coming into contact with water; rinse off before and after. 
  • Know where the bathrooms and changing stations are located.

  • E.coli (bacteria): July 8, 2024
  • Harmful Algae (cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins): July 8, 2024

What Does an Algal Bloom Look Like?


Algae can be harmful to humans and dogs and can be brown, green, red, or blue.


Look for scum around the shoreline and a sheen like oil on the water.


When in doubt, stay out!
