Did you miss a sermon or can't remember the good statement made by Pastor Jason recently?
Growing up in the Midwest, I am accustomed o having discernible seasons. We have sweltering, humid summers, followed by crips colorful autumns, and blankets of ice and snow in the winter. It could also be last Thursday afternoon in a few hours' time. We gripe for Canadian air to cool us down, then complain when it lingers for too long when all we want is spring to come. Winter becomes a memory, eventually.
Paul emphasizes faith over eyesight, our conduct just as revealing as the season's climate. When we still wear shorts in January, or sweaters in September, it is seen and felt as out of alignment.
The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus remind us that there are always seasons in life. But like those early and brief experiences of spring that reveal winter's icy hand is not the only one, we know that new life is always on the way.
We do not always resemble what we are becoming. When we give our lives in love, it is possible for a new point of view to emerge. The power of Christ's resurrection brought about a new season in the life of the church, even when things appeared bleak. We have a reason to live because we know the renewal and transformation of life are at work even when we cannot see them.

Morning Devotion
Each day, except Sunday, Pastor Jason shares a brief 4-7 minute scripture reading, reflection, response, and prayer. During the season of Lent, Pastor Jason is sharing the gospel of Mark, which will be read through by Easter. We encourage you to read this gospel. The associated devotion is posted to Prairie Avenue's Facebook page.

June Outreach Project: Faith Comes By Hearing Vision 2033
Until June 30, any gift you give will be matched dollar for dollar, reaching twice the people with God's Word in audio.
Countless multitudes around the world have never heard God’s Word in their own language—if at all. Most could not read the Bible if a printed version were available. They need Scripture recordings in their own language.
Every dollar you give toward our $350,000 Vision 2033 Matching Challenge today goes toward creating and sharing God’s Word with men, women, and children on every continent.
