A Message from Vice President, Curtis A. Reynolds

Hello, Business Affairs team,

As you can see, we are making some changes to our newsletter. The name change is just one of many tweaks to ensure this communication tool is as effective and informative as possible.

Check out the new Staff Spotlight, Department Highlight, Staff Shout Out, and Did You Know? sections below. These additions to the newsletter will help everyone become more familiar with the great work our division is accomplishing.

Be sure to take a moment to send in kudos for colleagues you feel are going above and beyond in their efforts so they can be recognized in the Staff Shout Out feature.

As we move into the final weeks of the semester, let’s stay focused on our mission to provide excellent service, sustainability, and safety to our campus. You all play a pivotal role in this work, and I thank you for your efforts.

Sincerely,

Curtis Reynolds

Vice President for Business Affairs

Kudos to four members of the Facilities Services Grounds team that recently achieved the Limited Lawn and Ornamental License, and the Florida Certified Maintenance Technician designation. Completing these designations is a testament to their dedication and work ethic. Congratulations on this exciting accomplishment, and thank you for helping to keep our campus looking great for our community!

Congratulations to Travis Roberts, Andrew Thorkildson, Otto Ingram, and Brance Chiadikobi.

If you know of staff members who are going above and beyond, please email businessaffairs@ufl.edu describing their effort.

Inner Road Closure Reminder

Inner Road is closed to all traffic to allow for the replacement of aging underground utilities that support neighboring campus facilities. Once the underground updates are complete, Inner Road will be a two-way traffic corridor including bicycle and pedestrian-safe spaces. The project will take about 16 months with a projected reopening of Inner Road in August 2024.
