Employee Spotlight
Sandy “Shea” Wilkins is a Senior Licensed Insurance Adjuster who joined our firm in 2003. She grew up in the small town of Liberty, NC and was very involved in athletics. After graduating high school, she pursued her love of softball and played at the collegiate level at Pfeiffer University. She graduated with Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine with a concentration in Exercise Science with hopes of serving others assisting with injuries and helping people return to their athletic dreams or careers.
With the desire to help others and the drive to do more, an opportunity with Lanier Law Group was too good to pass up. So Shea obtained her insurance adjuster’s license and assisted Lisa with the opening of offices in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Burlington and Asheville. Shea studied insurance, investigated coverage, researched case law and insurance policies, continuously took CE classes to expand her knowledge and used this knowledge to become one of the top negotiators and coverage experts in the firm. Shea is a powerful force in the workplace and works hard to succeed. She thrives on the satisfaction of helping people in a desperate time of need.
Outside of the workplace, Shea enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, Colt, Walker and Logun. Her hobbies include 4-wheeling, working out, fishing and hunting with her boys. Shea takes great pride in watching her boys achieve recognition for the great athletes they are. All three are Baseball State Champions. She has two sons committed and playing baseball in college and the youngest played an important role as a pitcher to help his high school win a 2023 State Championship. Shea spends most of her summers traveling to different states supporting her sons in travel baseball while working out of hotel rooms between games and has even resolved a claim for $1.5 million while sitting in the parking lot at a baseball field. Shea takes pride in her accomplishments juggling “mom-life” and still achieving her goals at Lanier Law Group. We are so proud of Shea had happy to have just celebrated twenty years of employment with her.
