| What does YWS mean to me? |
 I became involved with Youth Without Shelter through a friend and current board member, Ryan Dzierniejko. In Winter 2010, Ryan went to visit the house to see how he could get involved. Shortly following the visit he told me what a great experience he had at the house and that together he and some of the guys at the house had come up with an idea of entering a team in a recreational basketball league. Ryan wanted some help with the organization and knew that I would be an easy sell. After some informal fundraising and organization, together with a group of eager and talented youth, the YWS Huskies were born.
