Dear Friends,

We’re still reeling from the brutal and tragic terror attack on Israel yesterday, on Shabbat and the Jewish celebratory holiday of Simchat Torah.

Yesterday marked the largest amount of Jewish people killed in a day for being Jewish since the Holocaust. The most current numbers suggest over 700 Israelis killed, thousands injured, and many hostages taken – plus the unknown toll of future victims of war.

We stand with Israel and unequivocally condemn this unconscionable terror campaign from Hamas.

Many of our member organizations are on the front lines providing critical support to victims of terror and Israel as a whole, and others are doing the holy work of supporting American Jews and allies through this heartbreaking time. We will continue to uplift and support their efforts.

Our community is not okay right now. But we're grateful to have strong allies in the California state government who have demonstrated their support for Israel and the Jewish people over the weekend. You can find the many statements linked below, and more continue to pour in.

We need to let our elected leaders know that their support isn't taken for granted. Please help us thank them by sharing their posts and adding your own words of gratitude.

Sending strength to you all in this difficult time.
