It is with deep sorrow that the community of

St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church

announces the passing of

Age 91, passed away on March 21, 2024

On this sad occasion, the Pastor, Board of Trustees, and all the auxiliary bodies of St. Sarkis Church, extend their heartfelt sympathy to Marilyn's family members.

Marilyn was born March 3, 1933, in Detroit, as the only child of George and Mary Green. Marilyn and Mike raised their children in Lathrup Village, Michigan. Marilyn was extremely active in the Lathrup Village women's club raising money for different local charities including Meals on Wheels, which she helped deliver meals for many years. After moving to Rochester Hills, she became involved in Keep Michigan Beautiful, serving on the awards committee. In addition to her charity, she helped Mike run the family business LaBelle Appliance. Marilyn also started a home jewelry and gift import business, Pisces II Jewelry, with her best friend and neighbor Wilma Bloink. This business took them on oversees adventures to Bangkok, Thailand and Taiwan.

Some of the highlights of Marilyn’s life were her Grandchildren, hosting delicious dinners for family and friends, traveling many places around the world, community events, and her charity work. It didn’t require a fancy affair, to find Marilyn dressed for the town. She never left home without makeup, lipstick, and hair in impeccable style. Shopping for her Jewelry business with best friend Wilma and her sister-in-law Rose Dulgerian was another passion.

Utterly generous, Marilyns greatest joy was to give to others. Her friends, family and neighbors benefitted from a constant showering of gifts, simple and lavish, that always came from the heart. She may have gifted more jewelry than she sold from her business. More than her own children, she had many others that considered her their second Mom. She was always an ear to listen and a shoulder for support. Marilyn will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her life.

Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Mihran (a.k.a Mike) Dulgerian, age 99. Marilyn was the cherished mother of James (Amy) Dulgerian of Troy, Mark Dulgerian of Waterford, and Laura (Steven) Ray of Rochester Hills, Michigan. She was the proud grandmother of Alex Dulgerian, Daniel Dulgerian, Nicole (Alex) Cox, Jenna Ray, and Christopher Ray. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rose Dulgerian, a niece, and two nephews. Her great-granddaughter Violet Josephine Cox was a welcome beam of sunshine in Marilyn’s last years.

Memorial service will take place in St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, 19300 Ford Road, Dearborn, MI, on Tuesday, June 18, at 11:00 a.m. with visiting starting at 10:00 a.m.

Marilyn will be interred in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Oakland Township, Michigan.

It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Marilyn do so by making contribution to Keep Michigan Beautiful, Inc.

May God rest her soul in eternal peace.
