I hope this message finds you safe, healthy, and happy! This is Gaelynn Lea, just letting you know that yesterday I had the honor and pleasure of welcoming Spencer, Sammy and Jeff Tweedy as special guests on my weekly YouTube show, Quarantine Concerts!

I was fortunate enough to meet Jeff Tweedy (frontman of Wilco) at a festival in Montana back in 2018, and the next year I opened for Wilco at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have been a fan of Wilco's music forever, so it's an understatement to say that I was thrilled when Jeff and his son Spencer agreed to do my virtual show this winter... Jeff's younger son Sammy decided to join in the fun as a surprise guest (adding some lovely harmonies, I might add), which was even cooler!

Jeff, Spencer, and Sammy played a total of 4 songs (family-band style) and in between numbers we had a lovely discussion about creativity and songwriting, the shifting culture of music, the importance of representation in the arts, and whether or not you should force your pet rabbit to take piano lessons. It was a great discussion with lots of laughs! As always, I played a couple songs towards the end of the concert.

There was a big internet hiccup in the middle, so the show got divided into two segments. You can watch them both below... I hope you enjoy!
