Artist reception with John Killacky
Join us at JAM for a wine and cheese reception with February's featured media artist John R. Killacky. John's installation
“Flux/Flow/Elegies" includes the premiere of one inspired by the Fluxus movement of the 1960s, a collaboration with choreographer Eiko Otake, and an abstract work with tears. John's videos have been screened in festivals, galleries, museums, hospitals, and universities world-wide and are in the collections of numerous libraries and universities.

Rocky Horror
Be transported straight to Transsexual, Transylvania for one night only as JAM presents the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Briggs Opera House with a live shadow cast of familiar Upper Valley faces. This show is rated NC-17 and audience discretion is advised.
Doors open at 8pm, show begins at 9pm. First come, first served. Doors will close once seating is at capacity.

NH's Black History
Learn about magician and ventriloquist America's first Black celebrity Richard Potter. A renowned performer from Quebec to New Orleans, he lived in Andover, NH, from 1814 to 1835. "We're always uncovering and reintroducing the [story of Black history] that was disappeared in this state," says Jerrianne Boggis, head of the Black Heritage Trail of NH.

JAM artist on All Things LGBTQ+
Video artist John Killacky was invited to speak about his current installation on exhibit at JAM on Montpelier's ORCA Media statewide show All Things LGBTQ+. Killacky, a former VT state rep and onetime Ex. Director of Burlingotn's Flynn Center for the Arts, was inspired by composer John Cage, video artist Nam June Paik, and Yoko Ono. Come for a reception with the artist Saturday, Feb. 11 from 7-8:30 PM free and open to the public at JAM.

Calling all northeast region filmmakers!
WRIFxJAM Emerging Filmmaker Contest open
All self-identifying “emerging filmmakers” who are residents of VT, NH, Maine and Québec are eligible to submit. We strongly believe it’s never too late to pursue an artistic passion! Films under 15 minutes are welcome. Selected shorts will be screened at WRIF 2023 and three filmmakers will also be awarded cash prizes.

Laura Di Piazza is including a projection component in her upcoming exhibition, Redlining Our Souls, opening March 2023 at JAM – Junction Arts and Media (formerly CATV). Please answer this survey and upload your photo(s) to participate in the projected slide presentation. For anonymity; your name will not be displayed on the slide presentation.
Please note that not all submissions may be used in the exhibition. This is largely due to redlining maps not being available for every town/city or submissions already received to be matched with available redlining maps.
